HAPPY FRIDAY, HUMANS!

With so much anxiety, tension, and conflict in the world right now, I’ve decided to play a wee game and scatter some optimism for people to discover.

Today’s note for ‘Dearie’ offers a simple reminder that it’s important to regard ourselves with a little grace and patience, and give ourselves credit when it’s due. We can so easily become hyper-focused on how we think we’re being perceived by others, that we forget a rather obvious truth about being alive: The longest collaboration we’ll ever have is our relationship with ourselves. We are discovering, learning, and evolving all the time… And that’s a very positive thing.

Go gently with yourself as the week closes down.

TRIVIA–I never know who might find these notes. I just scatter them around and hope that Serendipity will put my words in front of someone who could use them. As it happens, this particular ‘Note to Dearie’ was discovered by the folks at Bleu Door Bakery in Vancouver Washington’s Uptown Village neighborhood. I am tremendously fond of Bleu Door Bakery’s baguettes, and I am so happy they reached out when they discovered my note.

Wishing you a happy, healthy weekend!
